Duty of Care
Duty to Report
While at Debate Camp, we hope to avoid and prevent incidents through staff training and eyes up supervision, incidents to take place. It is the responsibility of all staff to to document any incident that takes place at camp. Additionally, you are obligated to report any signs of abuse and neglect that you observe while at camp or that is disclosed to you. The video below and staff training will provide more details on how to write an incident report and how to report instances or signs of abuse and neglect.

When in doubt - REPORT. It is better to overreport than underreport.

Abuse Reporting

You MUST report any possible signs of neglect or abuse.

You MUST report any disclosures of neglect or abuse.

You will never be punished for reporting.

Watch for signs of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse.
